THE “REQUIRED TO TOUCH“ PHILOSOPHY

For a long time, the art world has adhered to an unwritten rule: look, but never touch. This art philosophy creates a cold, boring wall between you and the art, and my work completely rejects that notion. To me, interactive art should not be just a passive object you observe from across the room; it’s meant to be a hands-on experience. By incorporating heavy textures like molding paste, plaster, and various fabrics, I transform every canvas into a landscape designed specifically for human contact. I truly believe that a piece isn't fully complete until it’s actually felt.

When you run your hands over these surfaces, you’re connecting directly with real stories and memories—like the snowy alpine peaks from my time skiing in France, the rough ridges of Baltic sea foam, or the protective shapes of an ancient symbol. These textures serve as a physical reminder to stop over-thinking everything, cut through the daily noise, and return to something raw and real.
